Sanga leaves for England

A day after retiring from Test cricket, Kumar Sangakkara leaves for England today (25) to fulfill his commitments with Surrey in the county cricket championship.

Reliable sources say Sangakkara is not very agreeable to the offer made by president Maithripala Sirisena at his farewell ceremony yesterday to accept the position of high commissioner to Britain.

He intends to play cricket for another year.

Speaking to the media, Sangakkara said he would take a decision on his future after discussing with his family.
