The request has been made by Prasanna Jinarathana, the electrical engineer of Sri Lanka Cricket.
Earlier, Mr. Jinarathana had said before the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) that 367 of such bulbs were lent for various purposes with only five returned.
It is said that the bulbs were lent by Mr. Jinarathana himself.
At the present, a FCID case is underway with regard to the misplacement of these bulbs.
Meanwhile, the floodlight bulb requirement not being raised up by the R. Premadasa stadium manager - Godfrey Dabarera, has also raised eyebrows.
