Will ICC give Kusal a chance?

A group of representatives from Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to meet with the ICC disciplinary committee to minimise or avoid a possible ban on Sri Lankan opener - Kusal Janith Perera, reports say.

Under the directive of Sports minister - Daysiri Jayasekara, the SLC representatives are to hold talks with ICC representatives in Dubai, in the next few days.

Kusal could face a 4-year ban after his 'B' sample had tested positive for banned substances.

According to experts in the field, it is also possible for Kusal to prove his innocence after approaching the mediation board in Lausanne, which has been established to deal with such incidents.
