‘Throwing coach’ for Asia Cup

A throwing coach has been included in the team of officials accompanying the Sri Lankan cricketers now in Bangladesh for the T-20 Asia Cup, according to reports reaching.

This is despite the team already having a fielding coach.

The number of officials on tour is nine.

The others are manager, head coach, bowling coach, physiotherapist, masseur, trainer and the computer analyst.

The inclusion of a computer analyst too, has come into question as he serves no purpose.

The national team has a non-playing captain in Lasith Malinga.

Sports minister Dayasiri Jayasekara and Sri Lanka Cricket president Thilanga Sumathipala have approved the composition of the team and the officials.
