Sanga and I left to allow room for new T20 team: Mahela

Responding to questions about the retirement of Mahela Jayawardena and Kumar Sangakkara before the World T20 championship, Mahela tweeted that he and Sanga had retired giving enough time to build a new team.

Responding to a comment that Mahela and Sanga had left at the same time without thinking of the consequences for the team, Mahela twitted:  “We both left the T20 team two years ago giving enough time to build a team, we can't play forever".
