The 44th edition of the tournament will see the participation of 39 teams including two newcomers. They will be vying for the Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield Championships.The two teams making their debut are Belco Asia and Attune Lanka.
The awards on offer are Mohan Daniel Challenge Trophy for the Most Outstanding player of the tournament and Pemraj Peiris Challenge trophy for the Man of the Final in the Cup Championship, Captain Mathew George Challenge Trophy for the Most Promising player in the Plate Championship, Most Up and Coming player in the Bowl Championship and award for the Best Performance in Shield Championship.
All Winners and Runners-up will receive Samsung mobile phones.The most outstanding player of the tournament will ride away on a brand new motorcycle.Man of the final will receive a 32 inch LED TV.All other special award winners will walk away with blu-ray DVD Players.

The first days play will commence on May 30(Friday) from 2.30pm onwards and will continue till 7.30pm while the second day's play will be held on May 31(Saturday) from 8.30am to 6.00pm. The finals of the Cup Championship will be played on June 1 (Sunday) at 6.30pm under lights.
