With the recruitment of Zoysa, the number of fast-bowling coach positions of the SLC's training wing will increase to six.
In addition to the national fast-bowling coach - Champika Ramanayake, Anusha Samaranayake, Chamila Gamage, Ravindra Pushpakumara and Darshana Gamage also serve in fast-bowling coach positions.
Zoysa has bagged 64 wickets on 30 Tests and 108 wickets in 95 ODIs.
He has faced the interview which was held parallel to the interview where Avishka Gunawardena was selected as the assistant coach of the Under -19 national team.
