Matthew Abeysinghe showers Sri Lanka with 6 Golds and 4 South Asian records

Sri Lanka’s Matthew Abeysinghe added another gold to his South Asian Games medal collection when he finished 400 m free style swimming as the first.

Matthew Abeysinghe produced a fine display at 12th SAG to finish on top of the podium six times, four times with a South Asian record to boot.

18 year-old Matthew is the current Sri Lankan record holder in the 50m free-style (23.62 secs.), 100m free-style (50.86 secs.), 100m butterfly (55.32 secs.) and 200m freestyle (1:52.41).
